Momentan läuft „All Things D“ Veranstaltung, dort ist jeden Tag ein neuer CEO oder Chef einer bestimmen Abteilung. Vor zwei Tagen war Tim Cook CEO von Apple auf der Bühne. Heute war Android Chef Sundar Pichai von Google auf der Bühne. Und er ließ eine Bombe platzen. Es gab bereits viele Gerüchte rund um ein HTC One mit Stock Android. Nun ist es offiziell, dies bestätigte sowohl der Android Chef auf der Bühne als auch HTC mit einer Pressemeldung.
Now, we’re excited to offer HTC fans and admirers alike a new experience on what we think is the best hardware available today. Starting June 26, Google will offer a special edition of the HTC One with a “Nexus user experience” through the Google Play store.
Leider gibt es ein Problem für uns in Deutschland. Denn sowohl das HTC One als auch das Samsung Galaxy S4 in der Google Edition sind erst einmal nur in den USA erhältlich. Wann und ob es überhaupt nach Deutschland kommt ist nicht bekannt. Das HTC One wird mit einem speziellen Bootloader ausgeliefert. Dieser kann genau wie bei einem Nexus Smartphone entsperrt werden. Es wird für 599$ erhältlich sein. Und besitzt die momentan aktuellste Version von Android 4.2.2. Software Update erhält die Google Edition vom HTC One direkt von Google. Es wird ab dem 26 Juni via Google Play Store erhältlch sein.
